Summary

Kaitlyn Arquette, the daughter of well-known author Lois Duncan, was murdered while driving home in a seemingly random shooting. Lois worked to get justice for her daughter until her death in 2016, and unfortunately, she would never see the case be solved. But in 2021, a shocking confession changed the course of the 30+ year old cold case.

1:11.6	Okay. This is the story of the 1989 murder of Caitlin Arquette.

1:20.0	Some people might have heard of this because it was solved just two years ago.
1:24.5	So it kind of made headlines and it's a pretty decently well-known case because of who her

1:33.0	So with that, author Lois Duncan is best known for her 1973 suspense novel,

1:42.0	This got turned into a movie so if you recognize it but didn't read the book you might have seen the movie. It's not an exact replica of the novel but it's like based on the novel. So you might have seen the movie or read the book, but in the 1990s

2:09.2	and the subsequent book that she wrote about the case.
2:13.0	Lois Duncan Steinmetz was born on April 28th, 1934 to her mother, Lois Duncan,

2:23.2	Along with her younger brother Billy,
2:24.8	lowest grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
2:27.5	And her parents were professional magazine photographers
2:31.9	and they were most famous for shooting photos of the Ringling Bro's and Barnum and Bailey Circus.
