0:11.9	Welcome to trauma ICU rounds. I'm your host, Dr. Dennis Kim. I'm an associate professor of clinical surgery at the David Geiffin School of Medicine at UCLA and a trauma
0:23.0	surgeon intensivist at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in South Los Angeles. I got to say I am really
0:31.3	looking forward to our upcoming season, season two of trauma ICU rounds, the theme of which is acute care surgery.
0:40.3	Over the course of about 30 or so episodes, we are going to explore controversies and discuss
0:47.8	management strategies for commonly encountered emergency general surgery conditions. This is going to include things like
0:56.9	bowel obstruction, how to manage a patient with mesenteric ischemia, how to perform a resuscitative
1:03.3	thoracotomy, and more. In this season, we are featuring an incredible lineup of guest professors
1:10.4	who will be joining us on rounds
1:12.1	to share the results of recent research findings as well as their clinical expertise.
1:18.1	Locally, we've got Dr. Eric Sims, Christian D. Virgilio, Shorintofi, Ronnie Sullen, as well as Kenji Anaba,

1:29.5	Vanessa Ho, Martin Zyelinski, Walt Biffel, Jamie Coleman, and Dr. Sharmilla Dysanaki.
