Hello and welcome to On the Ledge podcast. I'm your host, Jane Perrone, and this is episode 266. In this week's show,

0:29.1

I am going back to basics telling you about the Chelsea Flower Show, and I answer a question

0:36.5

about three plant killers. And in Meet the Listener,

0:41.5

we hear from Angela. I've been going to the Chelsea Flower Show. Gosh, I think the first year I went

0:51.5

must have been 2009. So that's gosh, how many years? That is 14 years, I guess.

0:58.9

I remember going heavily pregnant with my son when I was literally about to give birth.

1:04.7

1:57.9

flower show happens in the very she-she neighbourhood of Chelsea in London. It's on

2:04.5

the site of the Chelsea Hospital, more formally known as the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the home of

2:10.6

the Chelsea pensioners who are veterans at the British Army, who are recognisable for their

2:16.9

bright red coats that they wear.

2:20.3

And every year it's held in the same place, it's been going for over 100 years and is the

2:27.4

best known flower show in the world and the flagship of the RHS shows.

2:32.8

It's kind of a unique as a flower show in a way because unlike other
