Hello everyone and welcome to the Stephen King cast! One Man's Musings on the Works of Stephen King. Once Upon a Time, and it's so appropriate that I actually say that for this book, but once upon a time,

I used to read each of Stephen King's works in the chronological order of publication.

But now what I have been doing since I have achieved that milestone many years ago,

what I've been doing over the last few years is to analyze each of the endings of the works of Stephen King to determine whether or not he deserves that reputation that he has out there,

which is that he just can't land the plane when

it comes to his endings. Is that true? I don't think so. Over the last couple of years,

after looking at it, looking at it with a critical eye, I think that he, you know, every ending

might not be perfect, but seems that most of the endings are okay for the stories that he's telling with a couple duds.

But for the most part, I think that that's a poor reputation that he has.

That's not deserved.

And I think that we as a society put too much weight on endings themselves.

But that is neither here nor there because this episode, this podcast, is old school.

That's right. I'm going back to what I used to do, which is going in deep.

I'm doing a deep dive this week to review September's very recent publication of Stephen King's

latest fairy tale.

And I am super excited to talk about this one, ladies and gentlemen.

So I have posted this and similar sentiments over the last couple of years on Instagram and on Twitter

and stuff. But there's really nothing like it. There is nothing like the experience of waiting for

and then the day of receiving, holding in your hands a new Stephen King book. There's just nothing like it.
