So if you don't mind, we're going to jump right into it.

We have learned since we last spoke, something we were starting to believe was a pretty strong possibility,

certainly definitely by yesterday, if not in days prior to that.

Georgia offensive tackle Monroe Freeling is moving on to the NFL draft.

Now, this is one of those things where I wish I was a better person.

If I was a true, unselfish person who really thought about other people instead of myself, then I'd come on here

and we'd talk just for endless minutes about, you know, how great this is for Monroe and how we wish

him well. And what an awesome honor to come through college and be the kind of NFL draft prospect Monroe Freeling is and all that's true and we will wish him well here.

But admittedly, we're pretty self-serving. And so it's hard not to in the midst of the news about Monroe Freeling pretty quickly pivot to what does this mean for Georgia? What about next year? And what about all of

these things? You know, it's just very easy to get into the, okay, who's next? Next man up as Monroe

Freeling goes out the door. But as a way of preventing us from doing that too much, before we get

into all of that stuff, which we do need to get into.

On the heels of the announcement from Freeling, making it official that he is leaving,

let's give him a lot of credit for what was, I think, a pretty significant turnaround for the Georgia offensive line this year. To my eyes, I think the numbers backed this up.
