One of the most common methods for carbonating beer, particularly among newer home brewers,

is bottle conditioning, which involves adding priming sugar to fermented beer, transferring

it to bottles, then sealing those bottles, such that the CO2 produced during the conditioning

process gets absorbed into the beer.

Of course, without a tight seal, that CO2 will leak out into the atmosphere, and brewers
