Here's your host, Brandon Adam. So we were having

dinner as a family this week. We try to do that like once a week. It's kind of our family tradition.

Now, hopefully we eat more meals together than that. But you know what I'm saying? It's like one big

meal per week. We're kind of all sitting together and enjoying our time together. Kids are busy.

You know, we all got stuff going on. And so there's like this one big thing. We try to do, you know, one night per week. And we're sort of sitting there having our dinner. And I am doing something that I would really rather not do. It's a bad habit. I try not to do it. I have my phone out at the dinner table. And I think it's a good thing not to do that. but unfortunately everything that I want to do, I don't always do to the full intent that I would like, extent that I would like. And so I've got my phone out. And my son, I think somewhat sarcastically, says, you know, Daddy, do you just get paid to scroll Twitter? And in a roundabout way, it sort of feels like I kind of do, I guess, right?, you want to stay on top of all the news that's out there so I can come on the air here and regurgitate at least the parts that I can remember and talk about that and sort of, you know, give, you know, half-cocked opinions and things like that. You've got to make sure you know all the news to be able to do that. In fact, I sort of think of that this way, which is we have people

on our Dog Nation team who are professional news reporters. I am obviously not one of those guys.

I am what I sort of think of as a professional news consumer. I sort of take in everything that kind of

comes my way and we talk about the news, but I'm not an anchor,

all the way occasionally. I like to sort of get into my anchor vibe. I am not an anchor. I'm a talk

show host. We just sort of talk about whatever the news perhaps is. So not a professional news reporter.

I'm a professional news consumer. I consume news for a living and then come on the air here and talk

about it. So as someone who does consume a lot of news and who has now kind of done this for

a good number of years, let me give you a couple of things here for a moment that I kind of use

as rules for the road for me for how I interpret the news, especially

this time of year. Georgia begins fall camp today.

Going to have practice. We're to hear from Kirby Smart. We're going to get a chance,

at least the media that's there. I won't be here. I won't be there. I'll be with all of

you here to see some of Georgia practice.

And from sort of here until the start of the season, you have one of my favorite times of the year.
