Hello everyone and welcome back to the podcast.

Today's episode is episode 244.

And of course, it's part eight of our mini-series, Oswald goes to Mexico City.

In some ways, today's episode is a real potpourri.

0:38.1

I think we're far enough along now that we need to take a step back, and I think it would

0:43.2

be helpful to listen to the investigators that came after the Warren Commission.

1:37.3

on Friday in between his visits to the Cuban consulate. And of course, the second important event is an alleged call made at 1151 a.m.

1:48.9

Local time by Sylvia Duran, a call made from the Cuban consulate and intercepted by the CIA.

1:56.1

A call spoken in Spanish, Russian, and English, where Duran, once she makes contact with the Soviet

consul, puts a man on the line in order to speak to the Soviets. And supposedly, this is

2:09.7

Oswald. But there are problems galore here. Sylvia Duran states to this day that the Cuban

2:16.2

consulate was not open for business on Saturdays.

2:19.6

She was not there that Saturday, September 28th, and for that matter, the last time she ever saw Oswald was the day before on Friday during the last tense exchange at the consulate.
