Here's your host, Brandon Adams. So when we can, we try to find reasons to be optimistic.

0:19.6

And by the way, as we were saying with our video audience, before our show began right now, maybe a lot of our local sports fans need some reason for optimism. What an awful start with the Atlanta Braves. And now the jerks and pro far, PED suspension, just a messy situation there. So if you're kind of down in the dumps about what Atlanta has done to begin the baseball season, let's give you some good things as it relates to Georgia football. And as I said before, you know, we really feel like one of our jobs is we can put kind of a happy, I guess, facade around Georgia football. We can come in and have a good time.

0:58.9

Obviously, that's what we try to do, because why would you try to do anything other than that, of course?

1:03.5

It's just kind of nice to, you know, to come in here and have a positive vibe. And I do believe that you don't have to look very far to find reasons for optimism,

1:09.3

positivity when it comes to Georgia here this season. That doesn't guarantee

1:12.3

anything that Georgia is going to be, of course. But when you think about what might be,

1:17.3

you see plenty of building blocks to kind of stack together for this team to reach its full

1:22.7

potential. Now, let me zero in for now on what I believe has been one of the most important components of Georgia's very best seasons.

1:31.2

And that's the defensive line. When Georgia first broke through and won a national championship in 2021,

1:37.4

we would say the one position group that probably propelled that success more so than anything else was probably the defensive line.

1:43.3

A lot of players played

1:44.2

great for Georgia that year on both sides of the ball. There was a lot of star power, future first

1:48.3

round picks, all-time greats within the program. Of course, they'll be remembered that way. But the

1:53.9

defensive line, maybe more so than anything else, was truly a special group and it is just a

1:58.8

very good thing to have a very good defensive line.

2:02.3

In that particular year, Georgia had one of the best.

2:05.2

In 2022, probably not quite the same level of defensive line performance overall, but a very

2:12.1

good group. Obviously, Jalen Carter was the star there, kind of injured a little bit to

2:16.4

begin the season, but kind of late a little bit to begin the season,

2:23.3

but kind of late in the year came in and gave Georgia some real dominant performances and changed a bunch of games, one of the best interior pass rushes in the NFL right now.
