0:35.8	up and up, and I have a new episode today. It's a very sad story, but I think that it's an important
0:43.2	one to share. So today we are going to be talking about the murder of Sydney Sutherland, a 25-year-old
0:50.5	woman who was out for a run when she was abducted and murdered. And when I heard about this case,
0:56.9	first it kind of reminded me of the Sherry Papini case, not because Sydney Sutherland
1:02.0	faked her kidnapping or anything, but because it started in the same way a woman out for a run
1:08.7	in her neighborhood being abducted. And I think it's just a really good reminder to always
1:14.0	carry pepper spray or some sort of defense mechanism with you. And I think we're all just very
1:19.8	prone to thinking, you know, it'll never happen to me, but you just never know, and it's always best
1:24.4	to be prepared and be vigilant. And when I was researching this case, it was a good reminder for
1:29.0	me, so I wanted to share that with all of you. This case also kind of hit close to home for me,
1:34.0	because Sydney was just over a year older than me, and she was a nurse, and it just felt as if I was
1:38.9	hearing about something that could happen to one of my friends from college. I had a lot of friends
1:43.2	who were studying to become nurses, and it just really hit close to home for me, and I felt
1:48.4	compelled to share her story. We also just passed the third anniversary of her murder, and I can't
1:53.8	believe I'd never heard of her or this case. So with that, let's get into it. Sydney Clare Sutherland
2:00.5	was born on September 18, 1995 to Dion and Maggie Sutherland. She grew up on her family farm in
2:07.2	Grubbs, Arkansas, with her two older brothers. Sydney was smart and outgoing, and during her high
2:12.4	school years at Tuckerman High School, she was involved in Spanish club, played softball,
