You know, I'm very easily persuaded by certain things that some Georgia players perhaps say and do.

I just really like certain things. I always appreciate when a Georgia player shows an appreciation

for history. Because the truth is, like the rest of us, getting older all the time, and these

players now are much, much younger than I am.

And so, well, I have spent my life kind of loving Georgia football and and chronicling the various

eras of Georgia football. In fact, in a day like this, we probably end up thinking more about that

because many of us can remember every Georgia Georgia Tech game we ever went to. And, you know, the first ones and how it kind of shaped our feeling of this rivalry,

the other rivalry is kind of the same way, that if you're like me and you kind of been around

for a little while, like eventually, you know, that history that's, that's kind of shaped you

becomes the way in which you kind of think about Georgia football.

But we are also, you know, smart enough to know

that for the 18, 19, 20 old kids that are playing for Georgia football, their experience with that

history is not the same. They're much younger. Maybe they came from far away. That they perhaps don't

look at Georgia football and think about it as this legacy, this collection of eras, this long list of history,

they only think about it in the present tense because that's all they've really been alive

to experience. And there's nothing wrong with that. It's just sort of the way that things are.

But when you do have a player that seems to have that little bit of appreciation for, you know,

the history of all of this.
