Here's your host, Brandon Edwards. Well, it's probably bound to happen. A conversation that's been mostly happening among Georgia

fans has now kind of escaped outside the boundaries of dog nation here. And I do think it probably

sets the stage appropriately for the big conversation moving into this upcoming weekend as Georgia

gets ready to take on the Tennessee

valls. And here's how it goes. You know this. You know, if you look at kind of national media when

they talk about college football, for the most part, me listen to the Feinbaum show, for instance.

Feinbaum talks about quarterbacks and head coaches. You'll never hear a defensive player's

name mentioned at all. Nothing about a defensive

coordinator or running back or anything like that. It is a very surface level program. It's sort of,

you know, I think it's a reflection of kind of the sort of, I hate to use this phrase, but sort of

the mainstream media that just sort of floats above the surface here, kind of looking down at everything from 10,000 feet.

There's not a whole lot of specificity with how college football is discussed.

That's how the national media typically operates.

And so when national media talks about, you know, Georgia, they talk about Kirby Smart and they talk about Carson back.

You know, you talk about the quarterback.

You talk about the head coach. And that's about as deep as it often gets sometimes with the

national media until a narrative becomes loud enough that all of a sudden it becomes

perhaps a little bit more interesting than otherwise would be the media type sort of get

more interested in it. I think we have an example of that for Georgia

here right now where coming off the game Saturday against Ole Miss wasn't a great day for Carson
