We concluded yesterday's show with the shocking news that our official mascot for Dog Nation Daily, Eddie the Blind Squirrel, has gone into hiding.

Unfortunately, today, that remains true.

So what we can tell you at the conclusion of today's show is what we plan on doing about this at least for now.

So that is coming up before we're done today.

Let me, though, begin with this.

Obviously, in a great mood today, excited about all that's happening in college football.

CFP Top 25 comes out last night.

I enjoy this conversation.

It is noticeably different than it's ever been before because of the expanded

nature of the playoff. We're going to do a lot of that throughout the show. And there is growing

hype around this game Saturday for George and Ole Miss that I think you can make a case

that given the current stakes of the game, and almost all of this is based on when the game is play. You know,

Alabama in September, no matter who won or lost that game, there was going to be plenty of

space to kind of correct the record after that. We're seeing that play out. Even for Georgia

in Texas and October, that, you know, big win for Georgia, but there would ultimately be a responsibility to kind of keep that level of play alive for the rest of the season,

that the game felt huge while you're playing it, but there was so much time left in the season that obviously that result would be eventually kind of recede into the memory banks a bit.

Perhaps that's happening right now.
