Welcome to the post-epiphany church launch episode of 30 minutes in the New Testament.

Eric has successfully somehow, by the grace of God, survived service numeral uno of Epiphany Church.

He's a weekly pastor now, guys.

I mean, he's like, he's like, you know, have to preach sermons every week, actually work, all that kind of stuff.

And so how's it feel, right?

Actually work, you know.

You know, I missed that more than anything about this year and a half lead

up to launching weekly services. The thing I miss most was preaching because I did it for nine

years before this. And it was week in, week out. There's like a rhythm to that. I love being in

the scriptures and getting ready a sermon every week.

So I'm looking forward to that.

But yeah, we had our launch service.

It went amazing.

Super excited about what the future holds.

And super excited about today's passage.

We're going into Matthew 8 versus 18 through, I think we're going to get through 27,

depending on how much you and I yak through this, but I think we can, I think we can do it

realistically today. We just came off the heels of a bunch of, basically a bunch of healing

stories in the first part of Matthew 8. And now we read this in verse 18.

Now when Jesus saw a crowd around him, he gave orders to go over to the other side.

Of course, the crowd is gathering around him because he's doing all this healing.

And so what he means is the other side of the lake there. And a scribe came up and said to him,
