You better believe we are on Dog Nation Daily,

presented by Pella Window and Door of Georgia. And as the dogs get ready to travel back to

Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday to take on Clemson, I thought it was appropriate here today

for reasons that we'll explain coming up at a moment to go back and look at the last time

that Georgia played in this game. The last time they played in back and look at the last time that Georgia played in this

game. The last time they played in the stadium, but the last time they played in this game,

the season kickoff in Atlanta. And really it was pound for pound among the more dominant

performances for Kirby Smart during this era that he's been the Georgia coach.

And in the first game after a national championship, there was a lot of poignance for me on this.

Because if you'll remember back to start the 2022 season prior to Georgia taking on Oregon,

Georgia was not the preseason number one, either coach's poll or the AP poll.

There was way more chatter that year about Alabama and about Ohio State,

but Georgia was only the preseason number three.

But given the way that Georgia started that year against Oregon,

given the way it would also play the following week against South Carolina,

through two weeks it became pretty obvious to me.
