You and I likely will not be able to see it, but something big is going to go down this weekend for Georgia as it puts the pieces

together for its 2024 season. I, of course, am talking about the scrimmage, the second of the

summer scrimmages for Georgia, kind of as the, as Kirby Smart sort of said, kind of the conclusion

to fall camp in many ways.

On the other side of this, it's time to start getting ready for Clemson.

But these are those sort of final moments for Georgia having worked on itself and doing its sort of self-scouting installation, the kind of fall camp portion of these August practices.

All of that in many ways kind of comes to a head on Saturday in Sanford Stadium as Georgia hosts another one of these summer scrimmages.

And the interesting backdrop around all of this is.

And I'll be completely honest with it.

It sort of feels like we do the same show, you kind of mark time by doing sort of the same show a lot.

It feels like we've been here before in terms of,

oh, Georgia goes into a scrimmage needing a better performance than it had last week because of some concerns that were expressed by the effort and the acclamation to the heat

and all of that kind of stuff for Georgia. Doesn't it feel like we've sort of had that conversation in the past before for UGA? I'm not certainly downplaying the need to make this a good scrimmage for Georgia on Saturday. It just sort of feels like this is well-traveled ground for us, where there were some concerns coming out of Georgia after the first scrimmage and a need to improve

as you move into scrimmage too. Feels like we've been there before, but obviously that's

probably kind of an important right of passage as you get ready for an upcoming season. So

let's set the stage in appropriate fashion here today in terms of what will happen for Georgia on Saturday. Let me start with Kirby Smart,

who when he met with the media on Tuesday, looking back to what had happened in Scrimmage 1 on
