One of the things we've said a little bit over the course of the last couple of days is that the stuff that we've heard from Kirby Smart, we don't always hear from him a ton during the off season, but some of the stuff that we've heard from him in a couple of recent media appearances are interesting in that they very much mirror, we believe, the ongoing conversation that Georgia fans are having with each other.

They're getting together at the lake or they're playing golf or they're going fishing or

they're hanging out by the pool coming up pretty soon.

And as college football fans, Georgia fans do what they do, have discussions about their

favorite team, a lot of what we believe those fan conversations are going to be sounding like.

That's also some of the stuff that you're also hearing from Kirby Smart right now there as well.

And I just at least find that to be interesting, if nothing else.

And perhaps we have another example of that here today.

You know, last week, Kirby Smart was at that celebrity golf tournament known as the region's tradition.

It's the PGA Tour Champions event.

One of their majors that takes place in the suburban Birmingham area. Smart always plays in the event.

And while he was there, in addition to some clips we gave you last week, he was also on the Paul Feinbaum show.

So Feinbaum recorded that last week and they played it yesterday. And in the midst

of this discussion with Paul Feinbaum, and we'll put a link to the interview when we post the show,

the world famous dognation.com later on. Kirby Smart was asked about the perception of his team,

the likelihood they'll be the preseason number one and kind of viewed as the favorite one

the national championship.
