This is that time of year where we probably hear less from Georgia coach Kirby Smart on the record than we do any other time of the year.

He's deeply entrenched in recruiting, maybe a little bit of vacation here and there.

We're kind of in the off season.

It's talking season for all of us.

But ironically, that means a little less talking for some of the coaches,

at least until we get a little closer to SEC media days, things like that.

So during this period of time, anytime we do hear something from Kirby Smart,

it's going to be a little bit more interesting than just sort of a run-of-the-mill statement

because it kind of comes, as I said before, during a little bit of a rarity of those kinds of comments. And so last few

years, the one time or one of the, I guess the handful of times during the spring and summer that

we know we'll hear from Kirby is typically around this event. It's called the Regions

tradition. I like golf. I actually like the the what you call the PGA Tour Champions. It used to be called the senior tour, but they decided that there was a better name for it than that. And they called the PGA Tour Champions. This is one of their majors. It takes place in suburban Birmingham. I've been before. I think it's kind of fun, especially if you get a chance to be a part of the pro-am event. Well, Kirby Smart was there yesterday. Now, before we're done, the PGA Tour Champions League itself, the promotion, put out a really fun video of Kirby. We're going to talk about Kirby the golfer here a little bit. That's before we're done today. I think that'll be really fun. We'll get to that. But prior to that, let's do what we're paid to do. We just talk a little bit of football here. And prior to playing in the golf tournament, Kirby did an interview with the radio show hosted by Cole Kublich. You know him. SEC network analyst. Greg McRoye. You know him. ESPN. College football analyst.Roy, the former Bama player, Kubloy, the former Auburn player. They do a radio show there in Birmingham called the Mac and Cube show. We've got a couple of clips over the course of the next couple of days. We're going to give you from this. We'll also put a link out there so you can go listen to the entire interview yourself. And I think you should check it out and listen to the full deal here, not as long of an

interview as he's done with them in the past, maybe.

And therefore, the clip I've got for you here is pretty short, to be completely honest

with you.

But in this small number of words, I think it gets pretty interesting.
