Summary

Episode 217 of The Independent Characters brings you the first in a new series of deep dives into the world of Necromunda entitled Underhive Factions. Taking a playbook from the Show of Force episodes, we are doing a deep dive of the various factions in Necromunda!

In this new series you can expect us to look at where the various gangs originated, how they have evolved over the years, where they fit into the overall universe of Necromunda (and Warhammer 40k), and a bit about how they play!

For our first in this series, we are tackling the might House of Chains, or as they are better known, House Goliath.

We think you will enjoy what we have prepared for your listening enjoyment this episode!

Welcome to the Independent Characters episode 217, hey guys, I'm here with Josh

0:29.7

Josh and Justin and this episode we are going to be talking about a new series that we're

0:41.6

starting. Kind of akin to our show 4 episodes but this one is focused around Necrumunda and

0:49.1

our first gang ride out of the starting gate is the House of Chains or House Goliath.

0:55.2

We're going to be going in deep on House Goliath but we've got a few things to talk about before we

1:04.2

kick off the rest of the show so we're going to be talking about that we've got a couple quick

1:08.9

announcements. The first thing coming up is fairly soon we are going to be doing a raffle for

1:18.3

some of our friend Doug's incredibly well-painted. Yeah beautiful armies. And the reason we're doing

1:28.8

this is because you know the money will all go towards helping his kids and their education

1:36.4

and they are like his Imperial Guard Army was Doug's love and his passion and man he knows how to

1:46.8

paint that stuff and it is a massive army and so a straight sale would probably not

1:55.2

it'd be the rare individual that could buy that straight out of the you know for what it's worth

2:00.3

and so we feel that we will probably raise more money if we offer up tickets at five dollars

2:08.0

a ticket or something to that effect which will go towards his kids education and such there

2:16.0

but also give you the opportunity and the chance to win that army which if you won that army for five

2:22.4

or even 20 bucks. Yeah that's a good one. Yeah yeah yeah. Now there'll be some stipulations around that

2:29.3

like if I have to ship it to Europe or something like we'll pay a certain amount of the shipping

2:34.5

cost but you'll be responsible for the rest but we'll figure it out. Expect that in the next

2:39.9

episode or two is where we'll start kicking that off and by the way it's not just an Imperial Guard

2:46.7

Army. It's also the start of a beautiful space marine army really well painted. I have no idea.

2:54.0

Suns of Medusa if I'm recalling it. Super vibrant green. That's amazingly well painted.

2:59.0

Freaking awesome. Jeans dealer cold. Jeans dealer cold. Yeah we're buying that. Shell and I are
