Got some emails to get through. First off, this is from Emma.

She says, Dear John Ellis, I'm aware of the irony of asking the following of two men.

However, I'm having a feminist crisis.

Okay.

I genuinely think you're the only people who may be able to help.

It's so true.

We are the only people in the world, I think, who could solve any form of feminist crisis.

I'm getting married at the end of June and I'm at a loss regarding what to do about my surname.

On the one hand, I'm a feminist. And having already changed many aspects in the wedding to flip or remove patriarchal traditions, it goes against everything in my being to take a man's

surname and thus become his. Not to mention what others will think of me, believing, quote,

I'm not a real feminist, etc. On the other hand, the benefits are twofold. My surname,

Claydon, is annoying. No, that's fine. And people always spell it wrong, taking his surname, Middleton, will assure I'm ridded of this

forever. It may not seem a big deal, but it's a nightmare at work, and I also like the name

Middleton more. Secondly, I love the idea of having something symbolic for both of us that we'll

see and notice every day once married. Well, just by a clock. A gender neutral clock.

Yeah.
