Hello, everybody. Welcome to Crystal Kyland Friends. A lot of great stuff to talk about today.

We have an amazing guest, Abby Martin, who is basically the expert's expert on the

issue of Israel Palestine. I mean, I would say she's probably an expert on like all

stuff foreign policy related, but definitely on Israel Palestine, she made an incredible

documentary that everybody needs to check out. We'll probably talk a little bit about

that when she's on. But before we get to that, there's a lot of other stuff to talk

about as well. So a few things in the news this week that caught my eye that I've sort

of been obsessed with. One of them is there's a there's this pipeline that Trump put sanctions

on the people trying to build this pipeline. And the name of the pipeline is the Nord Stream

2 pipeline. Right. It's supposed to go from Russia to Germany. And the idea behind it is

that, you know, Russian natural gas is going to be used in Germany. Right. And so they

were working on a deal, the German government and the Russian government. And you know,

you know, I'm sure there's private business involved and all that stuff. But Trump sanctioned

them. Now, this is part of a pattern with Trump, where he actually was pretty hawkish when

it comes to Russia. And he would raise tensions with Russia. He did it in a number of different

ways. Like, for example, he armed Ukrainian rebels, who by the way were affiliated with

neo-Nazi groups. So like, shouldn't be arming those people. That goes without saying. But

he armed them because they were fighting Russia. He also bombed Syria, which is one of Russia's

top allies in the region. I can go on and on with the things he did that were hawkish

against Russia. But of course, the narrative in the mainstream media was that he's Putin's

puppet. Right. Well, incomes Biden, Biden decided, I'm going to wave the sanctions on the

people building that pipeline. Now, the media is describing the people who are building
