We've all heard the story about Tom Brady. The scouting report said he had a poor build,

very skinny, very narrow, lacks mobility, looks a little frail, lacks great physical stature

and strength, lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush.

Lacks a really strong arm,

can't drive the ball down the field,

and does not throw a really tight spiral.

We've heard this story over and over again.

But what many people don't know is what Tom Brady felt about his own scouting report.

He said this, quote, I think they

underestimated my competitiveness. I think they underestimated how much I really enjoy playing football.

When it's your priority, when it's something that is very important in your life, when you love to

play the game, I mean, that says a lot. That says that you'll do just about anything to get

where you want to go. What end up happening is he goes on to have a 23-year NFL career,

winning seven Super Bowl titles, three NFL MVP awards, and a record five Super Bowl MVP's. The lesson of today is people may be

able to give, have a scouting report on you, what you've done, what they think you're going to do,

but what people often underestimate are the intangibles, your drive, your passion, your why. People can't measure that,

your heart, your effort, how bad you want something. And so don't let what people can read on paper

derail you from the things people cannot see. And if you're a leader, the same holds true.

There are a lot of things and tangible

qualities of a person that are invisible to the eyes. We can't see. And what you can do is get to know

someone to really see what is under the hood and what drives them. So my invitation to you today
