As I record, it's 10 minutes to 7 here in Salford. It's nice and mild here, a little bit overcast.

I think the remainder of Salford's schoolchildren return to the classroom this morning.

Heaven's the morgue trod. God love them.

I say these days, who knows what they'll be exposed to.

Today, as they, I shouldn't laugh. It's not funny, is it is it right as usual to the front pages of the papers now most of the front pages today have some distressing images on them you might know that a boat capsized in the channel yesterday with 12 maybe 13 people believed to be dead six of

them children this is horrendous and tragic and unimaginable for any parent six

children and a pregnant woman among the dead calls for legal routes to to

halt the shockingly high death rates on crossing. So I'm going

to go quickly through the front pages. The Guardian, six children among 12 dead, according

to the Guardian, after boat ripped open in the channel. There was about 70 people thought to

have been on this boat. Dreadfulful many of these vessels are not sea worthy

people pay fortunes everything they have they sell everything they have to get on one of these boats

they're not seaworthy and this isn't the first and it probably won't be the last time is that a boat gets in trouble and people die.

The Guardian quotes the French officials who say 70 people were on board, 50 rescued, but 12, maybe 13 people have died.

The Daily Mail, how long before the vile smuggling gangs are stopped? That's the headline.
