we're going to get really passionate because I want to talk about

the theology of sex like what in the world did God actually mean when he

created sex and why did he create it the way he did I've been talking on my

blog a lot actually lately about this. We got

super clinical and we talked about the theology of the clitoris and the theology of

the penis and I actually want to talk about some of those things today and see if we can wrap everything up in a nice pretty package.

So what was God's intention when it came to sex?

God, I think, created us to long for one another.

It's natural to long to want to be with someone in the opposite sex and we feel that even as children.

And I remember as a little girl wondering who I was going to kiss and you think about kissing someone and you just want that special someone in your life.

That's a natural thing. There's nothing wrong with it. It is part of our innate makeup. I think that the

reason that God made us this way is as a picture of how he feels about us. I've

shared this on the podcast before before but I think it's an

important point. Back when I was in junior high I remember this one particular

Sunday I was sitting in church with all of my junior high friends and the

pastor turned to Genesis chapter 4 verse 1 and he was reading from the

King James version of the Bible and that verse said Adam knew his wife Eve and they

conceived unto them a son. And of course we all started giggling

because we thought that was hilarious. Like Adam knew his wife as if God was
