Today is the 8th of February 28th. I am a special agent Monica Stramber with the Illinois State

Police Division of Mendrall Investigation. With me in the room are investigated a

written over Department of Corrections in New York. In the winter of 2019 a woman named Susan

Prentice set down for an interview with two investigators. Susan Prentice is a high ranking

correctional officer at the Pontiac Correctional Center. She supervises other staff.

Pontiac Correctional Center is a maximum security prison in the small town of Pontiac, Illinois.

It's the oldest in the state founded in 1871 and it's large with tall red brick walls and towers.

It's known as one of the most violent prisons in the state and there's one staff member there
