It's really, really cold out there. It's absolute brass monkeys. It's no sign of it warming up.

I'm hearing today, as I do the rounds of the breakfast programs, as I'm listening to them,

I'm hearing that there may

very well be some high pressure approaching the UK this coming weekend. This coming weekend is

a bank holiday weekend. And they're telling us it might be a great deal warmer. Please God,

please God it will be, because I've had enough of it personally. And I'm sure every other dog walker in this fair land has also had enough of it.

I'm going to go straight to the front pages of today's UK Daily's The Guardian. No better place to start. Today's than The Guardian. There's a lovely

photograph of Nicole Kidman on the front page of The Guardian. Isn't she lovely? She's gorgeous,

isn't she? I've always been a man who prefers women with darker hair. This is true. Blonds have

never really done it for me, but she's very good-looking, is Nicole Kidman?

I remember being smitten by her as a young lad going to the cinema in the mid-80s, late mid-80s, to see days of thunder. Days of thunder.

Top Gun on Wheels, as it was dubbed at the time. Crazy movie about stock car racing, but she was lovely in it. Why is she on the

front page of The Guardian? Well, she received an American Film Institute Life Achievement Award

in Los Angeles. So she did this weekend just gone yesterday. In fact, she's the first Australian

actress to receive the honour.

They call her Actor. She's an actress, of course. Anyway, headline. Home Office to detain
