I'm a regular gym person, and I was at the gym just yesterday.

Most times I see the same people, as if we have the same schedule.

I go to the gym, see the same people, small gym, three other people I know that go regularly,

but this time there was this family, a mom, a dad, a son, likely aged 20, and they had their child who was probably six.

They were taking it easy, talking and experimenting with the weights and techniques,

while the child kept interrupting their mom about this or that.

Just a normal, loud, energetic kid trying to touch everything. Now here's where things get odd.

I was on the cable machine working on shoulders, just an easy day to stretch facing the window.

Now when I rotate, after about 10 reps, I face the gym. Then I rotate again to face the window.

I had about 20 minutes left.

I had my earplugs in with low music playing

so that I could hear what the family was talking about and doing

since I was interested in their goals,
