What's up everybody and welcome to episode 177 of the Talking Chop podcast.

I am your host, Brad Rowland.

It's not really an emergency podcast because we were planning on recording it tonight,

but a lot happened on this fine Wednesday.

It's about 9.30.

I guess it doesn't really matter now because

there's not really any incoming transactions that are very possible at this point in time.

Joining me today and this evening to talk about all of it is Scott Colemanow, who you just heard laugh.

What's up, man? Yeah, Brad. Yeah, we were texting about, I don't know, maybe two Eastern today

going back and forth.

Like, man, I hope we get some deals going because if not, an emergency, non-emergency

podcast for Chris Martin is not the most thrilling thing in the world.

So it was good to get a couple of significant trades and it should be a lot of fun.

For sure.

And I mean, I think the funniest way to get into this is that,

you know, the deadline arrives at 4 p.m. Eastern. The Braves played an early game today. And it was a wild

one. We're not going to talk about too much about that one, just because we're going to save the game

stuff for Sunday and the normal podcast. But the bullpen was imploding on itself in the middle of the game on Wednesday as the Braves were training for Shane Green, which I thought was poignant.

The Braves won the game, but it was amusing that the bullpen collapsed in a big way on a day when the Braves added two relievers and one day after adding another one.

So three relievers in two days and right on time, I suppose.

I mean,

nothing new on this podcast. We talked about the bullpen for months now, being glaring weakness.
