I want to share with you today about the story of John the Baptist.

When John the Baptist baptized Jesus, and he declared, you know, he is the son of God,

the dove descended, the voice spoke, I mean, all the good stuff.

And then after that, John the Baptist ministry

actually went down. You would think that his ministry would increase, grow, but it did increase.

It didn't grow. It went down. And then they came to John the Baptist, his disciples, and they said

the following, they said, the guy you helped

to promote and launch into ministry, Jesus, he is now baptizing and everyone is going to him.

And John, our ministry is in decline.

We are having less people to baptize.

We are having less disciples.

Our ministry is declining and Jesus' ministry

is increasing. And John responds back to those people. And he says the following. And he says,

a man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. That's John chapter 3 and verse 27. You yourself bore witness to me

that I said I'm not the Christ. I have been sent before him. He who has the bride is the bridegroom,

but the friend of the bridegroom who stands and hears him rejoices greatly because of the bride's groom's voice

I'm sorry therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled he must increase but I must decrease
