Good evening and welcome.

I'm so glad you're here tonight. Those of you online, we're so glad that you're joining with us tonight.

Really looking forward to what the Lord has for us tonight because we as you know are beginning in the book of Zefaniah.

Zephaniah.

Now, we're going to do two chapters tonight.

Let not your hearts be troubled.

We can do this. Um, Zefaniah is a very interesting prophet as we're about to see.

His name means hidden in the Lord, protected in the Lord.

And he, as we're going to see in verse one, comes from the royal lineage.

And he is called by God to prophesy against Judah pre-Babolonian

captivity. So as I was preparing and praying and inquiring of the Lord concerning the teaching of these two

chapters expositionally, I came up with this title.

It's not a topical teaching, but it's the takeaway.

In other words, the title is synonymous with the takeaway.

And it's that of, and it's really in a question form, am I ignoring God's warning?

That's a good question because Judah did. And this is what the two chapters before us tonight are about. And I mean straight to the point prophecies, no niceties, in the form of a warning from God about his soon coming judgment.

Now, this would be fulfilled by way of the, again, Babylonian captivity.

Some believe about 35 years after.

But here's the thing.

This is a warning for us today in this world in which we are living.
