I want to share with you a verse from Luke chapter 7 and verse 44.

Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, do you see this woman?

I entered your house.

You gave me no water for my feet, but she has watered my feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair

of her head. You gave me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss my feet since the time I came in.

You did not anoint my head with oil, but this woman has anointed my feet with fragrant

oil. Therefore, I say to you,

her sins which are many are forgiven, for she has loved much, but to whom little is given,

it's because he loves a little. And so I want to just take a moment right now and share something with you that Jesus entered

the house of this man who on the outside was righteous.

And he maybe felt worthy of Jesus' presence.

Unlike the centurion in the beginning of chapter 7 felt unworthy.

This man felt worthy of Jesus.

And therefore he took him for granted.

And therefore, he did not do normal hosting duties to Jesus.

He didn't wash his feet. He didn't anoint him with oil and he didn't

kiss him. And Jesus didn't say anything against it. He didn't rebuke him for the lack of affection,

lack of personal attention and lack of hosting of Jesus until somebody else came into the picture

and showed extravagant love for Jesus. This love was unreserved. She expressed affection.

She expressed to the point where it was a little bit uncomfortable

to other people. And this religious man

got offended. He started to judge Jesus. And of course
