So fall is in the air. My scented candles and Christmas

music fill my home and it makes me happy. Now please don't hold my listening to Christmas

music against me. Okay? It just makes me plain dreamy. Thanksgiving is just a few days away, and for some, this is the most wonderful

time of the year, but sadly for many others, this time of year is the most painful. So as we

gather around our tables to celebrate family, this is a perfect time to reflect on our many

blessings, and this is important, but let's not forget those who are hurting.

Today you will hear from my guest Emma Williams.

Emma was placed in foster care at only five years old, and she shares her journey of being moved from home to home

and eventually aging out of foster care without a family to call her own.

Before we cut to the interview,

I want to give you an update on our last show as we called you to join us in prayer for kids like

Emma, kids who are waiting for their forever family. Our goal was to cover the entire 24 hours in

prayer on Orphan Sunday, which was November 13. We didn't quite hit our goal, but I want to

share a huge praise that 18 and a half hours were covered by prayer, and a total of 49 people prayed.

So thank you for coming before the throne of God with us. Now let's continue to plead the cause

of the ones who have no one to call family.
