Police have started digging for the remains of missing mum Lynette Dawson,

who disappeared 36 years ago and is thought to be buried in the garden of her family home,

and bay view on the northern beaches.

It is a Wednesday in September, a few weeks after the Teacher's Pet podcast series released its

14th episode, then paused to leave police and prosecutors with the work of trying to bring

an alleged killer to justice. Police cars, vans and trucks began arriving in

Gildwinger Drive Bayview before the children in this picturesque area went off to school.

New South Wales detectives and support crews led by the homicide squad Scott Cook

have come in search of evidence.
