Welcome to Dead Pilot Society, the show that takes comedy pilots pilots from A-list writers that were sold and developed at networks and streamers, but never produced, and gives them the table reads they never got a chance to have.

I'm Andrew Reich, the creator and host of Dead Pilot Society. I was in my local

bookstore yesterday and this slim little book caught my eye because the title was on writing and

failure. I mean, nothing could be more up my alley, more up the Dead Pilot Society alley. It's written by

Stephen Marsh.

I just started it, but it is full of gems.

I'm going to share some lines in the months ahead.

Here's a couple to start.

Quote, failure is the body of a writer's life.

Success is only ever an attire.

The public only sees writers in their victories, but their real lives are mostly in defeat.

Or how about this? Sorry. End quote. Or how about this? He's talking about explaining the writing life to young writers.

Quote, the problem is probably not that they're being rejected too much. The problem is that they're

not being rejected enough. They tell you to develop calluses. It's not enough. You have to relish the

rejection. Rejection is the evidence of your hustle. Rejection is the sign that you are throwing
