I've been writing a pilot and I just handed in the second network draft and was

reminded that there's just nothing better than finishing something. Even if you know it's not the

final, final draft is not really finished, but just finishing a draft, finishing a step in the

process feels so good. It's really pretty much the best part of the whole thing.

I mean, I don't know if this is a deep thought, but if anyone's out there slogging through a script, just know it's going to feel so good when you finish.

Simple truths, simply expressed. That's what we're about here. Okay, um, our pilot this

month is faking a murderer, written by Michael Jonathan Smith and developed by Michael Alex Ashinger

and Chris Yule. Michael was a writer and producer on Cobra Kai, pretty much the whole run of

Cobra Kai, and he created the

Peacock Show, Twisted Metal. And this is a twisted pilot. It is about the members of a

small town police department who invent a serial killer to save their town's budget. And things

don't go entirely smoothly. I guess some content warnings are probably in order.

There's a lot of death.

There's corpses that aren't treated with the utmost respect.
