My buddy and I were riding home through the woods in Alabama.

We were going down a rural patch of road on an old highway.

We had been hunting that morning and didn't end up killing a deer, so we decided to fish and grab some food.

The morning hunt felt strange. It was as if I were being watched in the woods.

Now I'm a police officer and a retired marine so I don't get scared easily.

A pack of wild dogs ran through the area where my stand was, but I kept feeling that burning
