Yes, I'm going to read one, which may be laugh a lot.

This is from Nathan. This may be of particular

interest to John. My wife's grandfather, Bob, worked at Hull University during Philip Larkin's

tenure. Yes, please. Philip Larkin, as you'll probably know, is John's favourite poet. Certainly

one of your favourite. Yeah, he's my favourite poet. Apparently, Larkin

was somewhat of a car park renegade, much to Grandad Bob's displeasure. The frequency of

these transgressions irked Bob so much that he would often leave notes on Larkin's windscreen

containing little poems and limericks lament lamenting Larkins Parking.

Oh, great.

Poetry is a favourite pastime of Bob's,

and he used to receive a fairly regular little income

in his early retirement

for having more innocuous poems printed in the local paper.

That is, until his poems became,

inverted commas, too political

for our local rag.
