0:27.4	I'm very excited for this week's episode because we are sitting down with Chelsea Manning,
0:31.6	a network security expert and ex intelligence analyst.
0:35.3	As many listeners are probably aware she served in the US Army before allegedly becoming
0:39.7	a whistleblower and releasing documents to WikiLeaks.
0:42.7	A bulk of these came to be known as the Iraq and Afghanistan war logs respectively because
0:47.2	they revealed atrocities being committed by the US Army in those countries.
0:51.0	As a result Chelsea spent years in jail and solitary confinement before having her sentence
0:54.9	commuted by Obama in January of 2017.
0:58.5	She was released a month later on time served.
1:01.1	But in 2019 she was jailed once more for contempt of court after refusing to testify in the
1:05.6	US government case against Julian Assange.
1:08.7	By 2020 she was released for the second time because the grand jury investigating the WikiLeaks
1:12.5	founder had been disbanded and there was no reason to coerce her any longer.
1:17.2	Today we'll be speaking with Chelsea about the rise of Q, the alt-right, the radicalizing
1:21.4	effect of foreign wars, the role of the media and lots of other stuff.
