as well to protect the identities of the other people in this story. I grew up in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. When I was a young boy,

my family was very close with another family. My parents were good friends with the other set of parents. They have a daughter my age

named Missy and a son named Chris, who was a year younger than me. I have a sister, Marie, who was about a year older than me, so we were

all very close and age and spent a lot of time together.

In Hawaii, it's more common for children to call adults auntie and uncle instead of Mr and

Mrs.

So to me, in addition to being my youngest sister's godparents, they were my aunt and uncle, even though we weren't

blood relatives.
