So, campers, when we left you last, Carrie had just started to suspect that her husband Matt might be having an affair.

And a journal entry she wrote about a week before her death indicated she might have been wondering about some other darker things as well.

It sounded like Carrie might have been starting to fear her husband, and sadly she would soon find

out that the little voice in the back of her head wasn't lying, and everyone who loved her would have took carry to the doctor. She asked for something to calm her anxiety.

She wanted some Xanax because she'd had it before and it had helped her, but the doctor

wouldn't give her any. He started her on something called Selixa instead.

And later that day she called a friend and she cried and she said,

look, I think Matt's having an affair.

And her friend kind of scoffed at the idea,

Oh no, he would never, Matt loves you. And I think this is so

unfortunate because I understand her friend was trying to help her and reassure her, but

what she in fact did was just invalidate Carrie's gut feeling which was right on the money

by the way. Yes. And when that happens that can really discourage people from

listening to that instinct right? Right. Yeah I think the best thing for her friend to have done or anyone that's in the same situation is just validate the feelings.

Absolutely. Yeah, he is acting weird. Let's talk about it. What can we do about it right now?
