first time ever that focus on the family actually listened.

Wuho! Okay so let us tell you the story. There's a new movie out called Turning Red. Yes. A

Pixar movie about a 13 year old girl of Chinese origin I believe. Yeah

Maillen. Yeah. It's just all about coming of age and her relationship with her mom and stuff. I have not seen it. We have not seen the movie. I know I'm I probably will maybe when your kids are older. I don't have kids that age. It's not really on my radar screen so no this isn't about

that in particular what it is about is that focus on the family has a side I

don't even know what to call it called plugged in where they do movie reviews and and like music reviews and stuff like that too right and the purpose is to warn parents about what's in the movie

Yeah about possible problematic elements in the movie so they know what to expect.

Exactly.

And here is what they said under sexual content in the movie.

They write, the subject of menstruation turns up repeatedly too.

When a panda-sized May hides in the bathroom, her mother assumes that's the issue.

She asks May, did the red peony bloom?

We also see and hear references to menstrual pads.

May's mom also talks with her about the importance of protecting your petals

and start cleaning them regularly.

We hear references to cramps and some might hear an echo of menstruation in the film's title.
