Hi, I'm Renee Hunter Vasquez. Hi, I'm John Paul Vasquez. This week, we're

broadcasting live from Harley and Son Grocery discussing the 1988 horror film, Pumpkinhead.

This film was directed by Stan Winston from a screenplay by Mark Patrick Carducci and Gary Gerani,

based on a poem of the same name by Ed Justin. With a prolific background

in special effects, Winston and his team crafted an indelible creature for this 1980s feature.

Anchored by an inventive folktale and the emotionally grounded performance of Lance

Henrickson, Pumpkinhead would rise above its poor box office performance to spawn a multimedia

franchise and become a cult classic.

your first impressions on the film? I remember seeing this really young.

And I remember the second movie more than I do the first one.

Okay.

I do remember liking the second one.

I don't know if I want to say better than the first one.

So watching for the show, it was kind of a semi-fresh watch because I did remember some bits and pieces, but I didn't remember

how everything played out.

Okay.

But I do remember enjoying the movie when I was younger.

And I did enjoy it again for the show.

So I think I still do like it.
