Well, I know we're supposed to talk and open with the theme song and I know that is how the shows are supposed to start but

uh just got news that Ralphie May died

and I just didn't uh... I didn't feel like starting with movie with the music. I'm sorry. I don't really know what this is going to be now.

I don't know. It's always

it's always weird to lose somebody in your community, in your little community, but it's even more difficult

to lose somebody who was a friend, you know, and we started out with and, you know,

where Ralphie and I lived a block away from each other when I lived in that one bedroom with the three kids.

And I don't even know where to start.

Let's just start with who he was.

Now listen, Ralphie and I weren't the best friends in the world.

It's not like, you know, we were text buddies every morning and we'd face time when our heads were on the pillow.

But we were old friends.

And I have a bunch of stories about Ralphie

that, you know, make me smile because that's what he did all the time and made people

smile and he was such a generous dude man anybody knows Ralphie May knows that guy would have given you the shirt off his back.

And such a kind man.

And he obviously, man, had his own demons.

You know, most people who are that size for a big period of their life

aren't that size because they're incredibly happy.

You know, Ralph he had his own problems.

And I know he was battling him and he battled him all the time.

But I guess the best thing I can do is tell you some funny Ralphie May stuff and just a couple quick stories.
