This week, we were recording live

from the old Crawford Mill discussing the 2003 horror remake, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This film was

directed by Marcus Nispell and was written by Scott Cozhar based on the original 1974 screenplay

by Toby Hooper and Kim Hinkle. Opting to reimagine the original story instead of making a traditionally faithful remake,

this film brings in a new set of characters as well as a new family of antagonists.

Despite utilizing Daniel Pearl's return as a cinematographer, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre

has an entirely different field than its predecessor.

While it did not do well critically, it did succeed in introducing an entirely new generation

to the franchise. This film was requested to us by friends of the show and when to go-getters,

Gabrielle Trevino and Jordan Nash. We thank them for the suggestion for their support and their

friendship. So So what did you

guys think about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre the first time you saw it? So as a 19 year old,

I loved it. Right. You know what I mean? Why? Well, you know, but watching it for the show,

I was like, oh my God. You know what i was like i did not um

this is not what i remember i'll just i'll save the rest of it for later but i do remember

really liking it and and remembering that it was a good movie when i first seen it yeah and uh not

not to try to give away anything later, but, uh, I will just say that my opinion

has changed now on this.
