Lord, you are the waymaker, Lord.

And maybe we need you to help us.

Well, we need you to make a way for us, maybe, Lord, in our relationships.

Lord, would you be with pastor as he takes us to you over this morning in the book of

2nd John?

Speak to us, Lord.

Would you clear our minds?

Holy Spirit give us focus.

We ask these things in Jesus.

before we get started though I want to share an email that I received from Pastor Steve

Santos of Calvert Chapel Westside there in Lahaina regarding our ongoing Maui

mission support.

He writes, so much has happened.

Fire, loss, confusion, grief, greed, seeing the best and the worst of people,

some hoarding for fear of when things are gone, people's fear of

where they and their families will live, not wanting to be relocated to other islands

or even to the other side of Maui. Lahaina is still their home. And it's still all happening, all but the fire,

all while the world has moved on. And I totally get it now with Israel. Like I had said when we

were together, J.D., I'm afraid to ask what's next. And then the horrific news out of Gaza,

come Lord Jesus. While the world has moved on, Lahaina is still burned. And the hearts of the

people here are still filled with all that was left on that morning after
