broadcasting live from aboard the Orca discussing the 1975 horror classic Jaws. This film was directed

by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Peter Benchley and Carl Gottlieb based upon the novel of the same

name by Benchley. In what was only his second feature film, Spielberg hit the ground running,

crafting one of the most iconic films in cinema history.

With a cast of memorable characters, an instantly recognizable score,

quotable dialogue, and a Hitchcockian level of suspense born out of technical necessity,

Jaws would go on to become a critical and financial

success and is widely credited with ushering in the concept of the summer blockbuster.
