Guidelines For A Balanced Life: Ahimsa. Sometimes we rush from one place to another. Here is a FREE practice for when you just have 20 minutes and you know it will enhance the quality of starting your day, revive you in the middle and help you unwind at the end of the day. This practice will help you let got of the violent twists and turns and communications we often times experience in our days when our schedules are packed too full. You can stay really busy, just do so in a way that honors Ahimsa, non-violence, and move your body with ease and let go of tension and the intensity of the day. Practicing in a non-violent way promotes Moksha, liberation.

It's going to be a nice short piece because sometimes that's all you got.

And so what we're going to focus on in this segment is Ahimsa.

Ahimsa is the first of the five yamas. It means non-harming, non-violence.

So close your eyes. Be standing top of the mat, big toes touching, hands to prayer in front of the heart,

and take a couple of nice deep breaths.

And continue breathing deeply, and I just want you to focus, not to make you uncomfortable,

but to get you feeling immediately since we have such a short time together.

Where in your life have you been violent with someone else, whether it was your actions

or your words or your thoughts and letting go of what they may or may not have done to you

that may or may not have caused that action or the words or the thoughts.

Just focus on your own part.

And those of you're going through a top 10 list, the first thing that came up, that's the right one. It's okay.

And what are one or two things that you could have done different?

So for me, I'll bring it to the realm of social media and the internet.

I use something called sad.

And I only know how to save his draft because I have not saved his draft. Where people have sent me emails and I've read it and it's had that fantastic tone where I thought they needed my response right away. So that's violating Ahimsa. So what could you do with the thing that you're working on towards non-violence.
