I wasn't actually going to go after sort of when I saw where I don't know if it's relevant to me.

But a friend of mine just rang before it was in my ear and said,

it's not important that we go just to support anyone in our ears that we know that's been a victim and I said, yeah, I get it.

It's a Sunday and the former students of Chroma High should be at home with family and a barbecue with friends

are walking on one of the glorious Northern beaches of the Inchilla Peninsula, an hour from the heart of Sydney.

But along with Michelle Walsh have come a few dozen, mostly women in their 50s, to a surf club close to their old high school.

Some haven't seen each other at all, or only a couple of times since they finished Year 12 in the 1980s.

But memories of another former student, Joanne Curtis, and the sports teacher, Chris Dawson,

and the probable murder of his wife, Lynn, have drawn them here.

For others it's about turning wheels of justice that have seemed completely seized,

about seeing accountability for the teachers who prayed on them or their friends for sex.
