I have a lot to share. Most of these stories were told by my family and friends throughout the years,

along with some of my own encounters in the rural mountains and ridgelines of my county.

I grew up in eastern Kentucky. Both sides of my family grew up in rural Appalachia, but, as with

modern times, they moved to a small town, nestled here in the valley situated in between rolling hills and deep ridge lines.

The following stories take place in the Appalachian Mountains.

It's considered a county, however, the area where my dad's family grew up in within this area

is more like a collection of deep ridges and mountain folks.

During the early days of the settlers these mountains were home to the Cherokees.

Many of the cemeteries in this area have around 30 to 40 graves of Native Americans buried there that are marked with stones and rocks.

In the 70s, my mom, her aunt, and her little cousins were driving on an
