faithfulness. Today, you get to hear one such story. My guest, Annie Merrick Bartah, grew up in an

unsafe home and heartbreakingly came to the conclusion that taking her own life would be her best option.

But God.

Through a series of God ordained conversations and events, she found hope and healing.

Today, she will share what it was like to enter foster care at the age of 17 and the emotional experience of being adopted at age 26.

So let's do this. Here's my conversation with Annie Merrick Bartah. Well, Annie, it really is a privilege to talk with you today. I want to start off

our time together by reading something you

wrote, and then we're going to dive right into your story. Okay. So you wrote this with a name like

Annie, I'm sure you can imagine that the most common nickname I heard growing up was little orphan Annie.
